Choir Cottage - Local Area

Cheddleton is a village situated in the beautiful Churnet Valley. Cheddleton and the surrounding areas are very well served with over 600 miles of footpaths. Most are sign-posted and the local Tourist Information Center stocks a wide range of walking guides. Picture: Doxey Pool.

The Potteries

The Potteries (Stoke-on-Trent) is a unique City made up of six separate towns. Pick up a bargain - buy directly from the maker - small family businesses or multi-million pound companies - Wedgwood. Royal Doulton. Spode. Anysley. Moorcroft and lots more. Many offer interesting Visitor Centres and factory tours. You can even join in and make a masterpiece yourself !

Stoke-on-Trent City Centre (Hanley) is an exciting shopping and entertainment centre. Festival Park has a range of leisure and retail outlets to suit all tastes - including Waterwold, the UK's Number One Aqua Theme park. At night visit the City's Cultural Quarter with Restaurants, Clubs and Star-studded shows.

Leek

The market town of Leek is just 3 miles from Cheddleton.

Market Day is Wednesday and it's a good place to shop. A refreshing change from the modern shopping mall.

There is a vast range of antique shops and an excellent choice of Restaurants, Bars and Coffee shops - something to suite every taste.
